Name: Chimera Bear
Lifespan: 30-35 years
Common Habitats: Lumeria, often roams into Risohli while rarely found in Elavernis.
Diet: Omnivores. Although attacks are known, it will rarely feed on gijinka flesh; however, when it does attack, there is most likely a cub close by.
Population: Rare. Exact numbers are unknown.
About: The Chimera Bear (or just Bear for short) is a roaming mammal capable of tearing down adult trees if it means getting to the tastiest treats. Known for their huge size, it was often believed to had been an illusion that they had three heads. It is unknown just what these three heads are for, but some believe they are capable of switching heads as if they were on a turn table as some of the bears encountered would have one head commonly thought to be the back head to be controlling the front of the body. While knowledge of these beasts are limited, it is thought the three heads all have a mental function each; its ferocious nature, unparalleled intelligence and superior courage. All three heads can face forward, but only when it walks on all fours.
Each mother bear will have up to three cubs, but usually two or one at most times. The cubs are black when they're born, only shedding their fur until it becomes white when they reach puberty. The reason they are black is for protection, mainly because the bears will often roam into Elavernis or Risohli to raise their cubs and hunt under the cover of darkness; the main reason so many attacks occur at night time.
Standing at roughly 8 foot tall and weighing roughly half a ton, this beast is exceedingly strong and fast when running on all fours, maxing a speed of 35mph. It's speed and strength makes it a deadly creature and a formidable fighter. The sound of two of these creatures can travel for two miles. With five sets of eyes, there's near to no chance avoiding this creature when its angry.
